Ingredients
- 1 portion (500 g) udon noodles
- 1/4 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion, sliced
- Optional: spring onions to taste
- Meat, tofu or vegetables of your choice
- 150-200g kimchi, chopped ( Doctor Kimchi - Weekend Kimchi )
- 1 kimchi shot ( Doctor Kimchi Shot )
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- Optional: 1/2 tbsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 60ml water
- Optional: 1/4 tbsp sesame oil
- Optional: Roasted sesame seeds, fried egg, seaweed and/or spring onions 1 serving (500g) udon noodles
Instructions
- (If using frozen pasta) Soak pasta in hot water for about 1 minute and gently break up with a chopstick or fork. Rinse with cold water, drain and set aside. Cook pasta according to manufacturer's instructions. Drain the water. Put aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and add the meat and/or vegetables. Fry until golden brown, add the onion and spring onions and fry until aromatic.
- Add kimchi and sugar and cook until kimchi is cooked through, about 2 minutes. Add chili flakes, oyster sauce, kimchi shot and water, stir and cook for another minute.
- Add udon noodles and toss until noodles are evenly coated. Optional: Refine with salt and sesame oil. Garnish and enjoy!
